Glad this day is over!

The day went pretty smoothly but I'm glad things are going back to normal.

Not sure where all of Tallys things are going but we'll find places for them. She got a couple of big toys, some small ones and alot of clothes. This isn't including the tons of things she got last week in Texas. I received alot of my scrapbooking supplies that I've been eyeing so I can work on stuff at home instead of going to Mistys house. Not that I won't still go once a week but at least I'll be able to finish pages here when I need to. Also got alot of gift cards to various places. Here is my favorite pic of Tally today.

Jeanne and I had a great visit last week. Here are a few pics from that.

I know I still haven't updated on my Austin trip, will try and do it on Monday. Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Getting ready....

So we are leaving for Texas tomorrow. I've been making my list of everything to bring. I'm sure I'll forget something but thought I would give it a go anyway. Alot of little stuff I need to get done today before Matt's cousins Christmas concert tonight. Have at least one more load of laundry to throw in the wash before I leave to put in a order for one of Matt's costumers who just can't wait until Monday for 10 more wallets. Since Matt is trying to finish up his work so we can head out no later than 12 tomorrow, I volunteered to make the lady happy when what I really wanted to do was tell her to shove it. Considering she called our house at 10 last night... granted I was on the phone for about 15 mins before she called but hey, that's not the point!

Need to go to the store and pick up some stuff, guess I'll do that while waiting for that ladies pictures. The place Matt has his pics developed at is way to close to my scrappin' store, so I'll try to stay clear of it. Even though I could use some more ribbons.... but I'll stay away, no time for scrappin' anyway. It can wait until Monday when I'm back home.

I'm ready for this trip but at the same time I'm ready for it to be over. I can't wait to finally meet Jeanne and I can't wait to see my family. I just hate trips like this, the fast ones that just fly by. On top of that it's almost Christmas. Need to get my house ready for next weekend and I haven't even figured out what I'm making this year. I wanted to do something new. Not the traditional Ham that we usually have. So if you have any ideas... throw them this way.

Ok... enough about my trip. You'll see the pics when I return.

Finally got all the information sent to the semi company about my claim. I've just been really forgetful lately and kept forgetting to bug Matt about taking pics of my car. It's done now though and the estimates are sent as well. So hopefully I can have that taken care of by the new year.

Pretty Busy lately...

With the holidays coming up I've been pretty busy. Seems like I'm constantly doing something. It never ends.

I had big plans today to finish all of the laundry and get all the rooms upstairs straightened. My mom called and asked if I wanted to go to Wal Mart with her and since I was stuck in the house with the snow yesterday I said sure! So we went and apparently a few weeks ago my mom had Tallys pics done for Christmas without my knowledge. They turned out cute of course (beautiful little subject) LOL So that is part of Matt and I's Christmas gift. Here is one... ok two...

We also went to Kohls and got a little more shopping done. My mom bought Matt's gifts and she also bought Tally something else. Got home around 4 and put dinner in the oven and took a nap on the couch until 7pm and that was only because Matt woke me up cause he was hungry. So needless to say, my laundry wasn't finished and none of the upstairs is straightened. LOL

It snowed yesterday, first one of the season. We only got a few inches and it stayed mostly today since it didn't get above freezing but we will be saying goodbye to it tomorrow with our high of 40 something. LOL Here is a pic I took last night.

I sent all of my Christmas cards last week and everyone should be receiving them in the next couple of days. I've also been working on some creative altered gifts for a couple of ppl. I can not say what they are or show them since 2 of these ppl read my blog sometimes but I will post my altered gifts after they get to open them. ;) One will be next week because I finally get to meet Jeanne!!! YAY!!! I am so ready, she is as well. Only a week away now. So I will be posting pics when I get back. Also pics from my familys Christmas celebration. Ready for some new scrapping material. With Tally being sick on and off lately I don't have alot of new pictures to scrap with.

I've been a winner lately... not weiner... winner. LOL I attended a chat with Shabby Princess a week or so ago and put some layouts in the gallery there and won a $10 gc for the Shabby Shoppe. Lovely suprise, even though it's so hard for me to decide since I have so many lovely things from her already. Then I commented on Heathers blog a couple of days ago and she was giving away some papers as a RAK . Then today during my daily blog reading circle I noticed my name on her blog as one of the RAK winners. I am so excited and can't wait to work with the papers in Tallys ABC's Album. Which I fixed up a little...

Like the new look?

Is everyone ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow? I am! It's not at my house this year, I talked my mom into hosting it. LOL So all I have to do is put together a veggie tray and bake a pie. Works for me. My grandma's male "friend" isn't going to be able to make it after all. So she will be staying with my parents. My uncle asked if she would like to have Thanksgiving at his house and get this, my grandma told him that she is going up to see "Her great grand-daughter walk" LOL I highly doubt Tally is going to start walking tomorrow or in the next couple of days while my grandmother is here. She may be in a month but I doubt this week. I'm getting excited about my trip next month. I am so ready to meet my friend and I guess see my family too. hehehe (shhh... don't tell them) Not that much longer, it's sneaking up on us.

So Tally had another cold this past week. She is still a little runny but it's slowly going away. Her next doctors appt is on the 28th (next Monday) I can't wait to see how big she has gotten. Since she was sick all last week, we were stuck in the house. No playdates. It was driving me crazy. Sunday was my first mno (moms night out) and we met up at Starbucks since the Purple Glaze pottery was closed that night. A couple of us ladies stayed until close that night. They started turning the lights out on us. LOL I had fun though. Then on Monday I went to see Misty, so I could paper scrap and let Tally play with her daughter. On the way I got hit by a semi, YES a semi. Obviously we are fine and my car isn't to damaged, he just barely side swiped me. I have a dent on the back right of my truck. He didn't even know he hit me but luckily I at the light I was able to write down all of the info on his truck and call them. They are due to call me anyday about my claim. I'll keep you posted on how that goes.

As you can see from my new look, Matt took our Christmas pictures this past weekend. Brought my mom along to get Tally to smile at the camera and then she ended up wearing a red sweater too so we took some pics of her as well with Tally. I made my Christmas cards. I love the way they turned out. They are 4x8 and I've already ordered them from WinkFlash. They were sent out this morning, So I should receive them by next week. I made a page with a few of the pics for Ginas Sketch Challenge at The Digi Chick.


Weight loss has been coming a little slow lately. Haven't been pushing myself like I should be. I am hoping to get back on track after Thanksgiving. I am going to try and work on that. My mini goal right now is to at least lose another 5 lbs by the new year. We'll see if that's possible.

Tally is being a little clingy plus I don't have much more to say, so I'll leave you with a couple of pages.

It's been a while....

I've been pretty busy here lately. Not sitting about the house like the past couple of months. We've been going to some playdates from my message board in this area. I've met another nice mommy that has a 14 month old daughter and we've become pretty good friends. I joined an actual playgroup that she is in that has weekly playdates and also a MNO (Mom's night out) once a week. First one is coming up next weekend and I'm pretty excited about it. We've also been hanging out outside of playdates which is nice. She also got me into paper scrapping, Yikes, like I didn't have a bad enough habit with digital before. LOL We have another playdate today and a scrapbook/playdate tomorrow. I can't believe tomorrow is Friday again already.

I lost another pound the past couple of weeks. I've been slacking on my exercise but trying to get back into it. It's hard though, I'm so tired in the evenings so I've been trying to go for walks in the morning. These playdates are helping by getting me out of the house. Mom bought be a WW scale and I'm really starting to like it since I can get so close on my "actual weight"

Ok on to Tally... She is officially crawling! Has been for a week now. My big girl is also pulling up on everything including my desk chair, that is driving me nuts now though. We moved the desk back up into the spare room next to Tallys room and moved all of her toys in her so I can do my normal stuff on the computer and she can play and crawl all over the place. So far it's working for us.

Holidays are coming up! Like you didn't know. LOL Thanksgiving will be held at my house like it is every year. I am partially thinking my mom should have it at her place because my grandmother is coming in with her "friend" and I really don't want to cook for an couple of people. With Tally being here now, M helps me with her but I don't know, we'll see. I am thinking maybe we could do Tally's first Christmas here and that way it won't be a big deal for Thanksgiving over there. We are going to Texas the week before Christmas for my moms side of the familys "Christmas" we haven't attended in years, this year is different because Tally is here. It will be nice to see the family again on a happy note instead of it being because something happened. I always love those types of trips. I also am meeting a good online friend and her family while I'm down there. She is going to come up and see me. I'm definetly excited to finally meet her and her cutie pie who is 2 days older than T.

Need to get off her for a bit and make Tallys breakfast and eat something myself and then get ready for our playdate. Hopefully it won't be to long until my next blog but I'm not making any promises!

I've become a weekly blogger...

Yeah I know, it's been a week again. I'll try and work on that but I'm not promising anything. ;)

On the weight loss front I did hit my 10 lb goal, actually I am down a whole 11 lbs. Doubt I'll get my pedicure though. There are to many other things that I would rather have now. Nobody is going to be looking at my toes anymore anyways. So I am going to buy me some more scrapbook kits.

Tally is doing good. Alot of stuff has happened the past week though. She is still getting over her first cold. She is also sooooo close to crawling, just hasn't gotten her arms in on the action. Two teeth cut this week also. So I have been a busy scrapping momma!

Long week!

It's been over a week since I posted last. Sorry about that. If you remember I had family in at the end of last week. Dinner at Camerellis was excellent, the fair on Friday was great but a little nippy. They left on Saturday morning. Saturday evening was my usual family night at my folks. I did my WI (weigh in) while I was there as usual and I lost 1 pound. Not bad considering I thought I wouldn't lose at all. So woohoo to me. LOL I have done really well managing my points this week. I think I might of hit my first goal of 10 pounds. We will see on Saturday night. :D

Matt has been on vacation all week. That is partially why I haven't posted until now. We have been spending time together and trying to get out of the house. Tally also has her first cold. So we've had the runny nose and now we are getting in to the congestion and coughing. Slowly but surely she is getting better. Clingy but I don't mind. I also took a little time off as mommy today and let daddy take care of her while I went to the movies with my mom. We saw "Just Like Heaven"! It was great! I highly recommend it to women who like funny/sad/happy movies. LOL

I did a little scrapbooking this past week also. Tally is so close to crawling just hasn't got the movements down without falling. It will be any day. So I scrapped a picture I took of that. My baby girl is almost 8 months. She is growing so fast and I'm starting to want another one. I'm crazy... I know. LOL

Oh before I forget... The cleaning thing. It is sort of working but not as I planned at the beginning. It seems like I am only going to get one room clean a week and then keep them clean. For instance my kitchen is clean, sink sparkling every night before bed. Tallys room is clean, all clothes put away and floor vacuumed. Upstairs bathroom is clean, counter is clear of clutter and toilet is sparkling. LOL See I got 3 rooms in my house looking great. Only 2 more upstairs and most of the downstairs other than the kitchen. Then my house will be clean. It's just taking me a little longer than planned. It's something since my daughters room looked like a war zone and she isn't even old enough to destoy things yet. :D

I think blog slacking is spreading. LOL

I to have been blog slacking lately. I just haven't been sitting at my computer as much lately. If I am online I'm on three sites. Both my message boards or my WW site putting in my Point Tracking for the day.

I've been exercising almost everyday and cleaning. It's hard to get your house in order when you've been slacking so much. I have many bad habits that I am trying to change. That was starting with my weight. Now it's my house. Granted we aren't total pigs around here. We do clean our kitchen, don't leave dirty dishes or food out and we do keep our house straightened. It's the deep cleaning that we don't seem to do. Vacuuming the living room is a must with dogs, but cleaning the baseboards... no. Keeping the toilet from getting that nasty ring we do, but cleaning the back of the toilet from dust and wiping down the counters is a rare thing only done when company comes. Again... in the kitchen we do wipe the counters daily. It seems like the only things we do around here is basic cleaning. Just what needs to be done.

SO I'M CHANGING THAT! From now on there will be cleaning of one room a day and straightening the rest. We have bad habits with paper clutter, not organizing it and putting it where it needs to be. Laundry gets cleaned but not necessarily put up. In Tallys room it gets put on her rocker instead of being put in her drawers or hung up. In our room the stuff gets put in drawers but hanging gets put on the cedar chest at the end of the bed. Why is it so hard to for us to hang up some clothes? Who knows, but it has to stop. So I joined FlyLady for her reminders. I'll update in a week and we'll see how we are doing.

So onto my weight... I think one of my last post I was at 4 lbs total weight loss. Well now I am at 7 lbs. That makes a 3 lbs loss last week and it also puts me in a lower weight class and put me down 2 pts a day. Which is fine by me! So I am only 3 lbs away from my first goal of 10 lbs and that means I will be calling Joyce for my pedicure soon. DH better have the money ready for me. LOL I've been trying to stay on track this week with points since my Aunt and Uncle are coming in tomorrow. We are going out to eat at Camerelli's which as I've said before is one of my favorite places. YUMMY I will definetly be putting half of my dinner in a to-go box that night and restricting myself to one peice of bread. I deserve at least that since I won't be getting my usual dessert. On Friday we are going to the State Fair! I can't wait... I love the fair, especially the turkeys legs. I look forward to them every year. This year isnt going to be any different so I will be having one. So needless to say I will be into my flex points by the end of the week and I would not be surprised if I didn't lose as much this week. We won't know until Saturday night though.

I bought a scrapbook magazine last night. Gave me a couple of ideas and I finished 3 pages last night. I also did some a couple of days ago. So I'm going to share a couple of them. I will try to post again this weekend sometime.

It's working!

Today I felt the burn. LOL My workouts with Maya are working. My thighs and abs are a little sore today. I still did my workout today. I love how everyday the workout is a little different. Some of the same exercises but different variations and everyday I learn a new exercise. Once again this is a great program when you don't have the money for a personal trainer or the time to get to the gym. :D

Tally is back home. Spent the weekend with my parents. It's so nice to have that once a month break. As usual I bring something new home that she didn't have when I dropped her off. This time a winter outfit. You just got to love grandparents.

Tomorrow we are going to get her Halloween outfit from The Childens Place. She's going to be a butterfly. I can't wait until I can gets some pics of her in it.
